An opportunity has arisen at Blackwood & Smith for an experienced Private Client Solicitorto join us in our Peebles legal office.

The Position:

Are you a Private Client Solicitor looking to join an established and highly respected firm in the Scottish Borders? 

Blackwood & Smith are looking to expand our Private Client team and are interested in recruiting an experienced Solicitor to join our busy private client department at our office in Peebles.

The Candidate:

This role offers a varied and challenging workload and would suit someone experienced in all aspects of Private Client including wills & powers of attorney, tax planning, asset and succession planning and executry administration. A STEP qualification or a desire to work towards this would be valued. The position offers a high degree of autonomy with responsibility for your own clients and files. 

Skills, knowledge and experience:

We are keen to hear from a candidate who is a great communicator, a self-starter with the ability to effectively manage their own workloads, confident in their own ability and where appropriate happy to offer advice and opinions to other members of the team. The right candidate would have an enthusiastic motivated approach to their work.

Details:

Job Type: Permanent, Predominantly Office Based
Pay: Competitive Salary Based on experience
Working Hours: Full Time however working hours are negotiable for the right candidate.
Work Location: In person, predominantly office based in Peebles but option for some hybrid working for the right candidate.
